Parlor Tea Pouring

Parlor Tea Pouring

Join us for a modern tea pouring led by artist Katrina Goldsaito, featuring ceramic works by Cassie Brown of C'est Bon Clay & Cloth with a live ambient soundtrack performed by Jacob Palmer. Inspired by the five classical elements of Indian Vastu Shastra and Buddhist philosophy—Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, and Void—this performative gathering meditates on the element of Water, mizu or sui in Japanese. Representing the fluid, flowing, formless things of the world, Water suggests change and adaptation. As we face uncertain futures, we must be attentive to nature's wisdom and observe our position within a greater whole, a fluid body.

All are welcome to attend the event for free. We offer a $15 suggested donation for ceremony participants in support of the contributing artists. With the purchase of a ceramic work by C'est Bon Clay & Cloth, participation is complementary.

With Katrina Goldsaito, C'est Bon Clay & Cloth, and Jacob Palmer

Opening Reception at Parlor

So excited to announce that this month my work will be included in the launch of a pop up gallery in the Mission! The space, called Parlor, is a new project by curator Arianne Gelardin of Storefrontlab, and artist Kioni Cho of Oak + Fog. Parlor will be a light and plant filled environment that highlights the work of local artists and offers programming and events to the public. The opening will include work by Ronald Chase, Windy Chien, Oak+Fog, Aaron Kllc, myself, and others. It’s looking amazing so far and I can’t wait to see it all come together at the opening.
